About me 🐼

Over the years I’ve earned a few nicknames: Analaura Antú as my artistic name, La Mujer Bambú on stage, Pepo’ Iju in the Guaraní Ñandewa tradition, and Panda Mother among my star family.

I’m an artist, educator, and catalyst for regenerative processes. For over a decade, I’ve worked with bamboo as technology, metaphor and way of life. I founded Planeta Bambú, a regenerative innovation ecosystem, and together with my partner we created Aurora de las Sierras, our rural lab in Uruguay where we sow beauty, awareness and awaken bamboo hearts.

I come from a background in design and education: I’ve been drawing since childhood, specialised in bamboo at the China Bamboo Research Center (Hangzhou, 2011), and taught for over 8 years at the University School of Design (UDELAR) as lecturer and thesis supervisor.

Since 2014, I’ve walked the path of ecosocial regeneration, training with Ronald Sistek and Laura Storm, and drawing inspiration from thought leaders like Daniel Christian Wahl, Gunter Pauli, Manfred Max-Neef and Ken Webster. I explore regenerative leadership, eco-spirituality, biomimicry, living pedagogies and circular design.

I’m the creator of Historias Bambuseras, an illustrated book series weaving together art, education and nature to spark meaningful conversations. I facilitate experiences and processes that awaken what matters — integrating themes such as microeconomies, circular economy, territorial regeneration and more vibrant, human-scale ways of producing.

I currently hold the symbolic role of CPO (Chief Panda Officer) — a hybrid of strategic vision, bamboo (a.k.a. tacuara), applied creativity, regenerative innovation, memorable experience design, and a dash of humour to navigate complexity.

My support team includes: the spirit of bamboo, my life partner and co-creator Lucía, and a panda family that has my back (even if they’re not on LinkedIn).

Hi, I'm Analaura Antúnez Latorre.

🎋 Bamboo master, speaker and artist.
I catalyse processes with bamboo as a living technology — to awaken consciousness and practise coherence toward regenerative action.

Impact in Action:

🎋 Bamboo practitioner since 2011 — trained in China, active across 3 continents, with over 13 years regenerating through bamboo.
🌍 10+ countries, 50+ talks, 1000+ bamboo hearts activated.
🧩 Workshops and processes facilitated across universities, schools, social orgs, companies and even prisons.
🎨 Commissioned artworks for cultural and educational institutions in Latin America and Europe.
🌄 Nature-based experiences designed to connect teams with purpose and the land.

To remember the tacuara
is to reawaken our way of being on Earth,
how we connect,

and what we choose to recognise as possible”.
